Reasi police arrest absconder wanted in three cases

Reasi, July 13: In a major breakthrough, Reasi Police have successfully apprehended a long-time absconder wanted in three different cases and cracked a temple donation box theft case by arresting the third and final accused.
Acting on the Proclamation Order issued by the Hon’ble Munsiff Court, Katra, Police Station Katra apprehended Gulzar Ahmed S/o Satar Mohd R/o Sudhmahadev, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, who had been evading arrest for years.
The Hon’ble Judicial Magistrate Ist Class (JMIC), Katra had earlier issued arrest warrants against him in the three FIRs registered at P/S Katra:FIR No. 239/2014 U/S 341/323/382/34 RPC, FIR No. 03/2016 U/S 48(a) Excise Act, 188 RPC and FIR No. 47/2019 U/S 48(a) Excise Act, 188 RPC.
After dedicated and persistent efforts, the police team successfully traced and arrested the absconder, who will now be produced before the Hon’ble Court for further legal proceedings.
In a separate case, Reasi Police solved a temple theft incident with the arrest of the third accused Mubarak Mohd S/o Abdul Majid R/o Chamba, Katra. The theft involved the breaking and looting of a temple donation box. Police recovered stolen cash amounting to ₹3,390/- along with a cutter used in the commission of the crime. With this arrest, all accused persons involved in the case have been brought to justice.
These operations were carried out under the leadership of SHO Police Station Katra Insp Khyatimaan Khajuria, under the supervision of SDPO Kara Dr Bhishm Ruby, JKPS and overall guidance of SP katra Sh Vipan Chandran JKPS.
SSP Reasi Sh Paramvir Singh, JKPS lauded the efforts of the police team and reiterated that District Police Reasi is committed to ensuring justice, maintaining peace and order, and taking strong action against criminals and absconders.
