LPU witnesses massive admission rush; admissions deadline of 31st July is approaching
7/25/2025 10:21:01 PM
Early Times Report
JALANDHAR, July 25: As the admission deadline of 31st July for Lovely Professional University (LPU) is approaching the university is witnessing an extraordinary rush. With thousands of applicants already registered and many more appearing for the LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST), the campus has turned into a vibrant hub of aspiring learners from across India and over 50 countries.
The growing interest reflects LPU's sustained position as a trusted hub of higher education, where academic strength, international exposure, and career preparedness come together seamlessly. The university's NAAC A++ accreditation, its top position in the NIRF rankings, and its inclusion among the top 10 Indian universities in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025, are clear indicators of the academic excellence it upholds.
Contributing to this strong momentum is LPU's future-focused approach to education. With over 150+ programmes offered across diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels, the university provides a learning ecosystem enriched with AI-integrated teaching, industry-driven curricula, and hands-on exposure through advanced labs, incubators, and live projects. The innovative EduRevolution initiative has also garnered considerable attention this year as it enables students to design their own academic pathways, earn credits through practical experiences, generate income, and develop entrepreneurial skills along the way.
Another driving force behind the surge in admissions is the university's impressive placement record. The recent season saw students receiving global and domestic offers, including packages as high as ?2.5 crore and ?1.03 crore. More than 1700+ students secured opportunities within the ?10 lakh to ?2.5 crore range. These outcomes span across diverse disciplines and reflect LPU's strong corporate connect, with leading recruiters such as Microsoft, Amazon, Palo Alto, KPMG, and Nutanix consistently hiring from the campus.
As a result of the overwhelming response, several programmes have already reached full capacity. Admissions in Pharmacy and Law are now closed, while others like Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Robotics and Automation, Computer Applications, and MBA are nearing closure. High demand is also being witnessed across streams such as Architecture, Fashion Design, Agriculture, Journalism and Mass Communication, and Product and Interior Design. Students aiming for these sought-after domains are strongly advised to complete the admission process at the earliest.
LPU's inclusive scholarship framework continues to play a significant role in enabling access to quality education. Scholarships of up to 100 percent are awarded to students who demonstrate excellence in academics, sports, innovation, community service, or cultural achievement. Special provisions such as Rakshak Samman Anudan for defense personnel, Shikshak Samman Anudan for educators, and dedicated support for persons with disabilities ensure that ambition and merit are recognized and supported.
