JAMMU, July 27: On the occasion of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's death anniversary, BJP senior leader and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan, paid heartfelt tribute to India's beloved former President, calling him "a beacon of hope for every student with a dream."
Balbir said Dr. Kalam's extraordinary journey-from a modest fishing village in Rameswaram to the highest constitutional post in India shows how hard work, knowledge, and education can break through every barrier. "He faced poverty, yet never gave up on learning. That's what made him not just a scientist or President, but a national inspiration," Balbir added.
A visionary who reshaped India's defence and space capabilities through ISRO and DRDO, Dr. Kalam earned the title 'Missile Man of India'-but his greatest gift to the nation was his unwavering belief in the power of education. Honoured with numerous awards, including the Bharat Ratna, Dr. Kalam never lost touch with the youth.
He believed that a nation's progress begins in the classroom. He made it his mission to engage with students, spark curiosity, and encourage them to think beyond limits.
Even in his absence, Dr. Kalam's legacy continues to guide and inspire millions. He may be gone, but his dream of a knowledgeable, empowered India lives on in every student he touched. |
