| Police registered FIR for selling banned Nylon Thread | | |

Jammu, July 28: Continuing its firm actions against sale of banned Chinese manjha,nylon thread based on reliable information about sale of dreaded Nylon thread (Gattu), a police team of Police Station R.S Pura led by PSI Sadam Bashir under the command of SHO PS R.S Pura Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar and supervision of SP headquarters Jammu , JKPS and SDPO R S Pura, conducted raids in the R.S Pura market falling within the jurisdiction of PS R.S Pura.
During the raid, Police party seized 09 rolls of Nylon thread (dour Gattu) who was engaged in selling Synthetic Nylon thread which is banned in District Jammu.
The seller identified as Puran Chand S/o late Piyara Lal R/o Ward No. 08 R.S Pura tehsil R.S Pura district Jammu.
In this regard,FIR under relevant section of law stand registered against above said person and further investigation is underway.
The public is hereby cautioned against the use and possession of banned,gattu thread, which is strictly prohibited by law due to its metallic or synthetic coating that poses grave risks to humans and animals, especially during the kite-flying season.

Do not buy or use gattu thread.
Report any sale or stock of such material to your nearest police station.
Parents are requested to monitor children during kite flying.
Use only safe, cotton-based thread to avoid accidents.
