JAMMU, Aug 3: On 02/08/2025, information was received at Police Station Bishnah that a house owner had accommodated tenants in his premises without conducting their mandatory police verification. This act is in clear violation of the directions issued by the District Magistrate Jammu, which mandate all landlords to verify their tenants at the concerned police station before allowing them to stay.
During preliminary inquiry, it was found that the accused, Ajay Kumar, resident of Chak Muraar, Tehsil Bishnah, had rented out his property to multiple tenants without submitting their verification details at the police station.
Accordingly, an FIR has been registered under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Bishnah. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
The general public is once again requested to strictly adhere to the tenant verification guidelines issued by the District Magistrate. Non-compliance will invite strict legal action under relevant provisions of law.
