Young diplomats from Jodhamal earn laurels at WELMUN 2025

JAMMU, Aug 6: A very young six-member delegation from Jodhamal Public School brought laurels to the institution with their remarkable performance at the prestigious WELMUN 2025 conference, hosted by Welham Boys' School, Dehradun. The high-profile event witnessed participation from 24 premier schools across India, engaging in three days of intense debate, negotiation, and global diplomacy.
The Jodhamal delegation, comprising Pavitt Singh, Aarav Handoo, Aarit Gupta, Aarit Malhotra, and Aaradhya Bhandari, stood out for their exceptional research, articulate diplomacy, and persuasive public speaking. Their success was a result of meticulous preparation under the guidance of Anjali, Raghunandan, and CCA Coordinator Pooja Sharma, with Ruby Sharma accompanying the team as the escort teacher.
The students' efforts culminated in multiple recognitions: Aarav Handoo was honoured as Outstanding Delegate for his exemplary performance in the UNHCR committee. Pavitt Singh and Aarit Gupta each received an Honourable Mention for their impactful roles in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Aarit Malhotra earned a Verbal Mention for his noteworthy participation in the International Press Corps (IPC). These achievements are a testament to their dedication, preparation, and diplomatic finesse. Team Jodhamal students from classes 8th to 10th were competing with students of classes 11th and 12th.
This stellar performance not only highlights the students' individual capabilities but also reflects the school's strong commitment to nurturing future global leaders.
The conference attracted some of the most renowned educational institutions in the country, including The Doon School, Welham Girls' School, Welham Boys' School, Mayo College, Mayo College Girls' School, The Lawrence School, Lovedale, The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Daly College, Ecole Globale International Girls School, Sanskriti School, Vantage Hall Girls' Residential School, Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, The Doon Girls' School, The Rajkumar College.
