UDHAMPUR, Aug 8: To mark the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the Department of Botany, Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur organised Inter-College Rakhi Making Competition under the aegis of IQAC at the college campus here today.
The event was organized to celebrate the spirit of Rakhi and to encourage creativity among the students.
On the occasion of this event Principal Dr . Nalini Pathania , emphasized on the importance of celebration of festivities on campus and praised the creativity of students .
About 30 students of semester 5th participated in the competition and showcased their creativity by using waste materials, fresh petals, dry fruits shells and much more . Competition was judged by jury members Prof Rewa Lakhnotra , Prof Meenakshi Jamwal and Prof . Manju Bala .
First Prize was bagged by Ms. Surestha and second position was shared by Ms. Madhu and Ms . Reenu and the third position was taken by Ms Rinki and Ms. Sonia .
The event was concluded by certificate distribution among winners and participants, Event was organized by the Head of the Department of Botany and staff members. |
