DODA, Aug 8: Today, at around 1940 hours, information was received at PCR Doda regarding a person roaming suspiciously on the banks of River Chenab near Malwas, allegedly with the intention of committing suicide.
Acting swiftly, officials of DPL Doda deployed at Ganpat Bridge were immediately alerted. The deployed personnel promptly reached the location and managed to save the life of the individual.
The person was later identified as Farooq Ahmed, a resident of Hamdanpur, Doda. After receiving proper counselling, he was safely handed over to his family.
