| Govt Degree College Vijaypur organizes Tiranga Rally | | |  Early Times Report
Vijaypur, Aug 11: GDC Vijaypur organizes Tiranga Rally NSS Unit (KHIDMAT) of Govt. Degree College Vijaypur organizes a Tiranga Rally in and around the college campus to make students and villagers around the college vicinity aware of the importance of sacrifices of many freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the independence of the country. The rally was organized under 78th Independence Day Celebrations in conjuction with the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal of the College Dr. (Prof.) Ashu Vashisht. The rally was flagged off by the Principal of the college where she highlighted that India’s gaining of independence was a tryst with destiny, as the struggle for freedom was a long and tiresome one witnessing sacrifices of hundreds of unsung heroes. In the rally the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility were also tied to the spirit of Independence.
As we celebrate 78 years of our great nation India’s freedom, it is imperative that we remember the responsibility that comes with it. Cleanliness is not just about the physical aspect; it’s about cultivating a mindset of discipline and respect for our surroundings. Our actions today will shape the future of our nation tomorrow thereby building a clean, green and free India. Students of the college along with NSS volunteers participated in the Tiranga Rally raising slogans like “Bharat Mata ki Jai”, “Jai Hind”, “Jai Bharat” and “Inquilab Zindabad”. Principal of the college congratulated the organisers and students for their active participation in the rally. Whole of the event was organized with the full support and coordination of the senior faculty members of the college Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof. Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology) and Prof. Ritu Bhagat. The event was coordinated by Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (NSS PO), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Prof. Meetu Sharma (HOD Geography). Refreshment was also distributed after the rally. |
