Bishnah police cracks bike theft case within 24 hours; two held, 12 motorcycles recovered

JAMMU, Aug 12: In a swift and well-coordinated operation, Police Station Bishnah has apprehended two culprits involved in a recent bike theft under FIR No. 80/2025 U/S 303(2), 317(2) BNS, recovering three stolen motorcycles within 24 hours. Additionally, nine other unclaimed two-wheelers were seized from various locations under Bishnah Police jurisdiction.
Acting on credible intelligence, a special team was constituted by the SHO Police Station Bishnah,Inspector Rakesh Singh under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and SP Headquarters Jammu.
Using a combination of human intelligence, technical assistance, and meticulous field efforts, the team swiftly traced and arrested the accused Manish Kumar S/o Sat Pal R/o Batyari Tehsil Bishnah and Bhag Hussain S/o Bulla R/o Chak Waziru Tehsil Bishnah who were found responsible for the thefts.
The crackdown led to the recovery of one motorcycle linked to the FIR and two other stolen bikes from the accused. The unclaimed vehicles are being verified for ownership, and efforts are underway to reunite them with rightful owners.
Further investigation is underway to trace the complete network involved in these thefts and to identify any additional accomplices linked to the crimes.
