79th I-Day celebrations held at District Court Complex Rajouri

RAJOURI, Aug 16: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajouri celebrated India's 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism at the District Court Complex, Rajouri. The event was supervised by Shri Rajender Sapru, Chairman DLSA Rajouri.
The opening remarks were delivered by Shama Sharma, secretary DLSA stressing on importance of unity in diversity to uphold the ethos of our great freedom fighters.
Principal district and sessions Judge Sh. Rajendra Sapru highlighted the role of judiciary in upholding national unity . He also remembered the victims of recent Kishtwar disaster and prayed for the people who lost lives or injured in the incident.
The cultural events could not be celebrated due to loss of innocent lives in Kishtwar disaster.
- Distribution of Essential Items: Blood pressure machines were distributed to beneficiaries, promoting health awareness and care in the community.
- Pension Certificates Distribution: Pension certificates were handed over to eligible individuals, ensuring their financial security and well-being.
- Gifts to Girls of Parisha centre: Gifts were presented to girls of Parisha, spreading joy and encouraging their development.
- Appreciation to PSI Akash Sharma: PSI Akash Sharma, I/C PP city Rajouri,was felicitated for his outstanding service, acknowledging his dedication to maintaining law and order.
The celebration was organized in collaboration with the prosecution wing and the Bar Association, headed by Khilat Bhat, Bar President, actively participating in the event. The occasion reflected the spirit of unity, patriotism, and community service, highlighting the importance of working together for societal development .
