BDSA marks Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

JAMMU, Aug 16: The Bhartiya Dalit Sahitya Akademy (BDSA) - J&K celebrated the 78th Independence Day with zeal and national pride at its premises. The tricolour was ceremoniously hoisted by B.R. Kundal, Retired IAS officer and Working President of the Akademy, in the presence of prominent dignitaries and community members.
Members of the civil society also joined in large numbers, further enhancing the spirit of unity and patriotism. The programme served as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the nation's freedom and underscored the Akademy's ongoing efforts to nurture harmony, social justice, and cultural enrichment within the community.
The occasion was attended by leading functionaries of the Akademy, including Seva Dass Digra, Mohan Lal Hans, Hem Raj Phounsa, Nagarmal Ji, Harbans Lal, P.L. Bhushan, Mohan Lal Thappa, Ranjesh Hans, Kuldeep Atri, Dr. Rakesh Atri, Pritam Chand, Rajesh Angural, and Pars Ram. Their participation added to the significance of the day's proceedings.
The event concluded with a reaffirmation of collective responsibility towards nation-building, reflecting the Akademy's enduring commitment to upholding the values of independence and equality.
