Satish Sharma visits GMC Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 16: Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information Technology, Transport, Youth Services and Sports, Satish Sharma, today visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to enquire about the health of the victims injured in the recent Kishtwar cloudburst incident.
The Minister was accompanied by Dr. Ashutosh Gupta, Principal GMC Jammu; Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, HoD Orthopaedics; Dr. Varinder Trisal, Medical Superintendent and senior officers of the Administration.
During the visit, Satish Sharma interacted with the injured patients and their attendants, expressed his solidarity and wished them a speedy recovery. He directed the hospital authorities to ensure state-of-the-art medical care, timely interventions and round-the-clock attention for the injured.
He further instructed the medical teams to remain fully alert and provide every possible assistance to the victims, assuring that the UT administration is committed to extend all necessary support to those affected by the tragedy.
Satish Sharma also commended the doctors, paramedics and staff of GMC Jammu for their dedicated efforts in handling the emergency. He reiterated the government's resolve to stand by the people during this difficult time.
