Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat signed an MoU with IIT Madras

Jammu, Aug 17: Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIT Madras, marking a significant milestone in academic collaboration. The MoU was signed by Prof. R.K. Sharma, Vice Chancellor of JUIT, and Prof. Andrew Thangaraj, Chairperson, Centre of Outreach and Digital Education of IIT Madras.
The CEO of JUIT, Sh. Manu Bhaskar Gaur, welcomed the collaboration and emphasized the university’s commitment to maximizing the scope of joint activities. Shri Gaur mentioned that this collaboration is a testimony to JUIT’s vision of providing world-class academic exposure and industry-relevant skills to our students.
Partnering with a premier institute like IIT Madras will open up transformative opportunities in learning, research, and innovation, further strengthening JUIT’s position as a hub for academic excellence. Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Dean of Research and Internationalization at JUIT, explained that through this MoU, IIT Madras will play a key role in enhancing the skills and employability of JUIT students. As a newly recognized Partner Institute, JUIT students, faculty, and learners will have access to a wide range of IIT Madras initiatives, including certificate and diploma courses, workshops, projects, and faculty development programs (FDPs). Additionally, the IITM CODE (Centre of Outreach and Digital Education) chapter will begin at JUIT, fostering close collaboration with IIT Madras’s outreach efforts and digital education initiatives.
