Director AHDJ inaugurates Introduction Training Programme

JAMMU, Aug 19: A ten day long Orientation Training programme for newly recruited Veterinary Assistant Surgeons was today inaugurated by Director Animal Husbandry Jammu Dr. Sanjay Gupta here at Directorate of Animal Husbandry Talab Tillo. In his inaugural address, Dr. Sanjay Gupta extended a very warm welcome to the new recruits and wished them a successful career in the department. He highlighted the contribution of the department of Animal Husbandry in fostering socio-economic upliftment among farmers besides augmenting the availability of milk, eggs and mutton to meet the local requirement. He emphasized that punctuality, discipline, hard work and sincerity are key to success in any job. He further advised the new recruits to take advantage of the orientation training programme to get better know-how of the facilities and infrastructure of the department. Programme Coordinator Dr. Mohit Koul informed the participants about the programme schedule and the institutions of the department they will be visiting in the next ten days. He underscored the need for an orientation training programme for making the newly recruited officers understand the nature and demands of their job. Earlier, VAS Extension and Publicity wing (AHD) Dr Sandeep Kumar gave a detailed description of schemes being implemented by the department of Animal Husbandry ensuring that the participants become familiar with these to contribute more effectively in their professional work.
