RAMGARH, Aug 19: Government Degree College Ramgarh organized an awareness programme on the Students Integrated Grievance and Messaging Application (SIGMA) under the guidance of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol.
On the occasion, Dr. Shivali Panjgotra sensitized the students about the objectives and benefits of the SIGMA portal. She explained how the platform provides a confidential grievance redressal mechanism for unresolved academic or institutional concerns and also serves as a centralized communication channel for timely dissemination of important academic information, student-centric initiatives, and national-level programmes. She motivated students to actively utilize this portal for their academic growth, transparency, and effective resolution of grievances. To further strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism, a physical grievance box as well as SHE (Sexual Harassment Elimination) complaint box complaint box was installed in the premises, ensuring multiple safe and accessible avenues for students to voice their concerns.
In addition to this, the screening of a documentary on the "Display of State Emblem of India" was organized to sensitize students about the proper and legal usage of the State Emblem, in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Higher Education Department, UT of J&K. The documentary film highlighting the legal provisions, correct usage, and consequences of misuse of the National Symbols, particularly the State Emblem of India. |
