Army Public School Damana hosts ‘Rendezvous with Our Alumni

Jammu, Aug 19: “Alumni are the living testimonials of an institution’s legacy, carrying its values into the wider world while staying forever connected to their roots.”
Army Public School Damana hosted its covetous Alumni Meet, christened as ‘Rendezvous with Our Alumni’ on 18 August 2025 at School’s AV Room, bringing together former students from different batches for a day filled with nostalgia, pride and togetherness.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mrs. Pushpinder Kaur, Principal, Mrs. Shallu Kapoor, Vice Principal, Mrs. Anurita Koul, Head Mistress, faculty and esteemed members of the alma mater whose encouragement and support made the occasion even more meaningful.
The celebration began with the ceremonial lighting of lamp and Saraswati Vandana, symbolizing the eternal quest for wisdom. This was followed by a warm welcome address by Ms Ekta Gupta, PGT English and a melodious welcome song by Mr. Sunny Kumar, TGT Music creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. A specially curated video montage of clips and photographs from the past took alumni on a nostalgic journey, reviving treasured memories of their school days.
The Alumni shared their experiences and reflections, cherishing fond memories and acknowledging the role of the school in shaping their lives. A fun-filled activity session sparked joy, laughter, and lively interactions. The Distribution of Mementos and token of appreciation by the Principal of the School honoured the contributions of alumni, marking a heartfelt gesture of appreciation.
The Principal expressed her immense pride in the accomplishments of the alumni, highlighting how they have upheld the school’s values into the wider world. She encouraged them to continue being role models for the current students and to remain connected with their alma mater.
The event culminated with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Arti Gupta, Senior Coordinator. Following the event, alumni signed the Alumni Register and embarked on a campus visit, reliving cherished memories while appreciating the school’s new developments.
The heart-warming Alumni Meet proved to be a bridge between the school’s glorious past and its vibrant present, leaving every attendee with cherished memories and a renewed bond with Army Public School Damana.
