| DDC Samba reviews implementation of Rural Development Schemes | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Aug 20: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba, Ayushi Sudan today chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Rural Development Department to assess the progress achieved under the District Capex Plan 2025-26 and the Centrally Sponsored Schemes including MGNREGA, Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) and others.
During the meeting, the DDC held detailed deliberations on physical and financial achievements under each scheme. He directed the officers to work in close coordination with all stakeholders to ensure timely and effective implementation. She laid special focus on the flagship scheme MGNREGA, which plays a pivotal role in providing sustainable livelihood opportunities at the grassroots level.
While reviewing the District Capex Plan 2025-26, the DDC instructed the concerned officers to expedite the preparation of estimations, tendering and allotment of works within a week’s time to avoid delays and to ensure that developmental benefits reach the people at the earliest.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Champa Devi Thakur; CPO Kasturi Lal, ACD and BDOs and other officers and officials of the department. |
