Udhampur civil society pays tributes to victims of Chasoti Padder, Kathua Cloudburst victims

Udhampur, Aug 20: Udhampur civil society held a Shradhanjali sabha on Wednesday and paid rich tributes to the victims of the cloudburst in Chasoti Padder and kathua area of J&K. Meeting was held under the president ship of Ranjit. Parihar in which rich tributes were paid to those who lost their lives in cloud burst at both the places by lighting candles. The society members also observed a two-minute silence for the victims of the cloudburst. Ranjit Parihar has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives in the recent cloudbursts at Kishtwar and Kathua and said that Our prayers are with the families who have lost their loved ones. In this hour of grief, we stand shoulder to shoulder with them. Speakers urged the government to ensure immediate medical care for the injured and fair compensation for the affected families. They added that that many victims have not only lost their homes but also their means of livelihood, and they require timely support to rebuild their lives. They further stressed the importance of strengthening disaster management in Jammu and Kashmir.
Beside others Chairman Tushar trust. Dev Raj Gupta, Pardeep Bakshi, Satish Chopra, Deepanker Gupta, Raj Kumar Govind Ram Sharma, Ramesh Gupta, Deepak, Raghav Sharma, Shewatketu Singh, Satish Swami Raj, Bansi Lal, Harjit Singh, Sanjit Singh, Sat Paul, Ravi Sharma and Sham singh were present.
