DDC Poonch reviews progress of developmental activities

POONCH, Aug 21: District Development Commissioner Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting in the Conference Hall of the DC Office to assess the progress of the developmental works across the district.
The meeting deliberated upon key developmental sectors including District Capex, PRI and DDC grants, Education, Health, PHE, NFB, Youth Services & Sports, SSY, ABDO, APDP, and the overall status of developmental initiatives.
During the review, the District Development Commissioner examined the status of tendering under District Capex Budget and directed the concerned officers to expedite the process at the earliest. He also reviewed the progress on roads and bridges along with completed, ongoing, and pending works across the district.
The DDC instructed the Executive Engineer JPDCL to enhance public awareness about the PM Surya Muft Bijli Yojana and ensure increased installation of solar panels. He further stressed upon accelerating the pace of household tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to achieve set targets in a time-bound manner.
While emphasising the importance of adhering to quality standards, the DDC directed officers to remove bottlenecks and ensure the timely completion of all projects for the benefit of the public.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohd Iqbal Zargar, SE PWD (R&B) K.K. Atri, SE Hydraulic Rajiv Kumar, XENs of PWD, PMGSY, JPDCL, REW, Jal Shakti, EO Municipality, DYSSO, DHO, besides other concerned officers.
