ADC Jammu Ansuya Jamwal reviews arrangements for JKSSB Junior Engineer Examination

JAMMU, Aug 23: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ansuya Jamwal today convened a meeting to review arrangements for the smooth conduct of the OMR based written examination for the post of Junior Engineer (Electrical and Civil), being conducted by the J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on 24th and 31st August 2025.
It was informed that on 24th August, 18 examination centers have been established in District Jammu for 5793 registered candidates, while on 31st August, 26 centres will cater to 9431 candidates. The exam will be held from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM on both days.
The ADC asked for strict enforcement of prohibitory orders under BNSS-163 around all examination centres during the examination hours.
Ansuya Jamwal asked Principals and Heads of Institutions to coordinate with the deployed Centre Superintendents, Deputy Superintendents, invigilators and support staff as per JKSSB guidelines. She instructed that staff to inspect the centres one day before the examination and ensure that no unauthorized person other than officials on duty be allowed inside the premises.
The meeting also discussed deployment of Magistrates and Observers at each centre, provision of vehicles through RTO Jammu for safe transportation of examination material and security arrangements by Police to ensure smooth conduct and traffic regulation. PDD was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply and SSB officials to maintain strict vigil on examination day.
The ADC emphasised close coordination among departments and adherence to instructions for fair and transparent conduct of the examination, assuring all possible support to facilitate the appearing candidates.
The meeting was attended by AC Nazool Vinay Sharma; SP South Ajay Sharma; Secretary SSB Atul Sharma; District Education Planning Officer B.D Sharma, Executive Engineers from line departments and other concerned officers.
