BEE ENN College of Nursing Students Visited Red Cross Bhawan, Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 26: The students of BEE ENN College of Nursing visited today at Red Cross Bhawan, Kachi Chawni, Jammu, for an educational exposure visit aimed at understanding the humanitarian activities, functioning, and objectives of the Indian Red Cross Society.
During the visit, the students were given an overview of the various welfare initiatives of the Red Cross including disaster relief, health and care services, blood donation drives, community outreach programs, and support for the underprivileged sections of society. Special emphasis was laid on the role of Youth Red Cross in fostering humanitarian values, leadership, volunteerism, and social responsibility among the younger generation.
The faculty and students interacted with Red Cross officials, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Dr. Rita Kumari, Medical Officers and Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer who apprised them about the organizational structure, ongoing projects, and the impact of Red Cross activities in the UT. The visit also served as a platform to encourage students to take active part in humanitarian work, thereby complementing their nursing education with practical exposure to community service.
On this occasion, the students and faculty of BEE ENN College of Nursing also enrolled as Institutional Members of the Indian Red Cross Society. This gesture reflects their commitment to join hands with Red Cross in its mission of serving humanity and extending care to those in need.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, J&K-UT, appreciated the initiative of the college and said, "We are delighted to welcome the students and faculty of BEE ENN College of Nursing into the Red Cross family. Their participation as institutional members will not only strengthen the humanitarian movement but also inspire more youth to dedicate themselves towards selfless service for society."
The Indian Red Cross Society, J&K-UT, welcomed the new members into the Red Cross family and expressed hope that their association would further strengthen the spirit of humanitarian service and volunteerism in the community.
