Transgender community came forward to help the flood-affected people, distributed dry ration, other materials

SAMBA, Sept 8: On one hand, floods have caused tragedy everywhere, some people have become homeless due to the floods, now the transgender community has also come forward to help the people and is continuously helping the people, on Saturday, Mahant Sonia District Samba along with its members visited the community hall of the Municipal Council near the New Bus Stand of Samba and distributed dry ration as well as materials as per the need of the children to the people affected by the floods and also served a wonderful lunch to them in the afternoon.
Mahant Sonia from District Samba never hesitates in helping the poor and every time there is the marriage of a daughter of a poor family or the construction work of any temple, Gurudwara and Church, she keeps on helping in other works, due to which she along with her team members visited the community hall of the Municipal Council on Saturday and distributed flour, rice, sugar and other items among the people affected by the flood and the necessary items for the children were also distributed, not only this, Mahant Sonia also served delicious food for a day in the afternoon and also assured them of every possible help, for which the people affected by the flood thanked Mahant Sonia ji.
Mahant Sonia from district Samba said that there is chaos everywhere due to flood and people have become homeless because no one has the power in front of natural disaster. As soon as we came to know that a camp has been set up by the district administration for the flood affected people and we distributed dry ration to the flood affected people today and provided the necessary items to the children so that they do not face any problem. However, the district administration is also taking full care of these people and it is our duty to come forward to help these people, due to which we took a decision with our team and helped these people and served a wonderful lunch for a day. Mahant Sonia said that we are standing with the administration at all times and we are ready for any kind of help.
On this occasion, CEO of Municipal Council Jodh Raj, Khilafwarji Inspector Rajinder Kaur, Sheetal Sharma, Himanshu Sharma and other officials of Municipal Council were also present.
