LPU Students Steer India to Asia Cup 2025 Hockey Triumph

JALANDHAR, Sept 8: The Indian Men's Hockey Team has scripted a magnificent win, clinching the Asia Cup 2025 title by defeating a formidable South Korea 4-1 in a thrilling final. The nation celebrates this triumphant moment, and Lovely Professional University (LPU) rejoices with immense pride, as the core of this champion team comprises seven of its stellar students. This victory sealed direct qualification for the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2026 in Belgium and the Netherlands.
The triumph was powered by an exceptional team performance, with LPU taking special pride in the seven members of the champion squad who are its graduates, including Harmanpreet Singh Captain, Jugraj Singh, Hardik Singh, Jarmanpreet Singh, Manpreet Singh, Mandeep Singh, and Sukhjeet Singh, who electrified the match by scoring the critical opening goal. The entire squad delivered a dominant performance, showcasing exceptional skill and determination to bring the coveted cup home.
