MOU signed between LFO-BHF & J&K Bank on Project RISE

JAMMU, Sept 10: Live For Others - Being Helpful Foundation NGO, in collaboration with J&K Bank, has officially launched Project RISE (Respecting Identity, Supporting Equality), a comprehensive initiative on the theme of gender sensitization.
Under this project, a total of 176 sessions will be conducted across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir UT and 2 districts of Ladakh UT. This will include 88 awareness sessions and 88 follow-up sessions, with the ambitious target of sensitizing over 50,000 youth. The aim is to develop a society where all genders are treated equally and with respect.
The sessions will be organized in various educational institutions as well as community spaces, ensuring that students, youth, and citizens are equally engaged and empowered with the message of equality.
As part of the initiative, self-assessment training activities will be conducted to encourage participants to reflect on their attitudes and behaviors. Additionally, basic self-defense training sessions will also be organized, equipping students and children with essential techniques to build confidence, safety awareness, and resilience.
The lMOU signed in the presence of Anup Bhat (Deputy General Manager), Naseeb Javed Khan (Incharge CC & M/CSR), TARIQ BANDEY, (SENIOR MANAGER CSR), OWAIS AHMED SHAH (MANAGER CSR) on behalf of J&K Bank & Vivek Parihar (Director & CEO), Abhinandan (Senior Member, LFO-BHF), Babita (Project Designer, LFO-BHF)
Speaking on the occasion, Anup Bhat, Deputy General Manager stated, "J&K Bank is proud to partner with LFO-BHF for this noble cause. Along with awareness, practical skills like self-defense are equally important for empowering our youth, and this project will truly make an impact."
Echoing this commitment, Vivek Parihar, Director & CEO of LFO-BHF, said, "Gender sensitization is not just about awareness but about building a society where equality and safety are practiced every day. Through Project RISE, we want to reach every corner of J&K and Ladakh and inspire change at both personal and community levels."
With this collaboration, Live For Others - Being Helpful Foundation and J&K Bank reaffirm their shared vision of fostering equality, safety, and inclusivity across the Union Territories.
