Early Times Report
AKHNOOR, Sept 14: In a spirited tribute to the richness of the Hindi language, the Indian Army organized a Hindi Debate Competition at a local border-area school in Pallanwala, marking the celebration of Hindi Diwas with youthful zeal, cultural pride and intellectual vigour. The event, aptly themed "Hindi Hai Hind Ki Dhadkan" (Hindi is the heartbeat of India), witnessed enthusiastic participation from school students residing in the border belt. The young debaters displayed remarkable confidence, creativity and a deep-rooted love for Hindi, impressing the audience with their clarity of thought and persuasive oratory skills. Organized under the Army's ongoing Civic Action Programme, the competition aimed to foster national integration, promote the use of Hindi and offer a platform for border youth to express themselves freely and fearlessly.
Key Highlights of the Event:
Students spoke passionately on topics such as "Hindi ka Mahatva," "Yuva aur Hindi" and "Rashtriya Ekta mein Bhasha ka Yogdan", showcasing their understanding of language, identity and national unity.
Winners were felicitated with certificates, trophies and motivational books, encouraging continued literary engagement.
The Army officers, teachers and community elders present applauded the initiative, emphasizing the power of language to unite, inspire and transform.
Speaking at the event, a senior Army official noted, "Language is not just a means of communication, but a vessel of culture, history and pride. On Hindi Diwas, we celebrate not just a language, but the spirit of India. It is heartening to see the youth of border areas embrace Hindi with such enthusiasm and intellect."
The competition not only celebrated linguistic heritage, but also acted as a catalyst for critical thinking, national pride and creative expression among the young minds of the region. Such initiatives reaffirm the Indian Army's commitment to nation-building through education, empowerment and cultural engagement, especially in remote and sensitive regions.
