MLA Arvind Gupta inaugurates long-pending drain work at Rajpura

JAMMU, Sept 15: MLA Jammu West Arvind Gupta on Monday inaugurated the much-awaited construction work of the drain at Lane No. 2, Ward No. 29, Rajpura, with an estimated project cost of Rs 20 lakhs. The development work fulfils a long-pending demand of the residents of the area who had been facing inconvenience due to the poor drainage system. Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Gupta reiterated his commitment to ensure holistic development of Jammu West constituency. "Our focus has always been on providing basic amenities and infrastructure to every household. This drain project was a genuine demand of the people, and I am glad to see it finally taking shape. I assure the residents that similar development works will continue across the constituency," he said. He further added that the BJP-led government is committed to improving civic infrastructure, ensuring better sanitation, and providing long-term solutions to urban issues. "Development is not about announcements but about execution on the ground. We are working in mission mode to meet the aspirations of our people and to make Jammu a model constituency," he remarked. On the occasion, Ex-Corporator Surinder Choudhary, Mandal President Kushant Prajapati, AEE JMC Ravi Sharma, JE Mukesh Gupta, along with senior BJP leaders Rekha Sharma, Mohit Vaid, Karan Sharma, Pawan Sharma, Pardeep Sharma, Vaid Pal Sharma, Sudesh, Rohit Gupta and many others were present. They appreciated the efforts of the MLA for taking up people-centric works and addressing long-pending civic issues of the ward.
