Early Times Report RAMGARH, Sept 16: Government Degree College, Ramgarh initiated a month-long celebration to commemorate Gandhi Jayanti 2025. The college organized a special screening of movies and media focusing on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi. This event also aimed to raise awareness about "Nasha Mukt Bharat" (Drug-Free India) and "Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K" (Corruption-Free Jammu & Kashmir). The entire program was conducted under the able guidance and coordination of Prof. (Dr.) Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College. Dr. Snobar HOD Punjabi, began the event by enlightening the students about the significance of the event, which was organized to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. She emphasized Gandhi Ji's pivotal role as the prominent leader of India's independence movement, achieved through nonviolent civil disobedience. Mr. Darpan Malhotra coordinated the screening of the media content, which provided students with a profound glimpse into Gandhi Ji's remarkable life and his unwavering commitment to peace, truth, and social justice. It also shed light on his global influence as a champion of nonviolence.
