Ramnagar, Sept. 17: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College Ramnagar organised a donation drive to mark Sewa Parv under the banner of Viksit Bharat@2047. The initiative was aimed at extending support to the people affected by the recent floods and landslides in the region.
In a compassionate gesture, the students and staff of the college contributed clothes which were later despatched to the Tehsildar Office, Ramnagar, for onward distribution among the needy and affected families.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand Anthal lauded the efforts of the NSS Unit and the entire college fraternity. He said that service to humanity is the highest form of duty and that such initiatives help in instilling values of empathy, responsibility, and social commitment among students. He encouraged the youth to participate wholeheartedly in Sewa Parv activities and contribute meaningfully towards the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
The programme was successfully coordinated by Prof. Ritika Mahajan (NSS Programme Officer), Prof. Sanjay Malhotra, and Prof. Tanmeet Kour. Their combined efforts ensured enthusiastic participation of the students and smooth execution of the drive. The event concluded with a pledge by the volunteers to continue working for the welfare of society.
