Phase-2 training programme for DNOs & ZNOs successfully concludes at SCERT Jammu

JAMMU, Sept 17: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu Division, under the leadership of Sh. Shantmanu (IAS), Director SCERT J&K, and the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Sindhu Kapoor, Joint Director SCERT Jammu, a two-day Training-cum-Orientation Programme(Phase-2) , organised by the department of Population Education, Girls' Education, ECCE and Education for all, for District Nodal Officers (DNOs) and Zonal Nodal Officers (ZNOs) of NIPUN Bharat, Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), and Vidya Pravesh at SCERT Jammu, concluded today on September 17, 2025, with the aim of strengthening foundational learning at the grassroots level.
Dr. Sanjeevani, Head ECCE, Programme Coordinator, extended a heartfelt welcome to the gathering and presented a concise concept note, setting the tone for the event. She highlighted the vision of NIPUN Bharat and the National Curriculum Framework for Foundational Stage (NCF-FS), emphasising the importance of holistic, play-based, and activity-oriented learning in the early years.
Over the period of two days, seven technical sessions were delivered, where Mr. Anil Sharma, Associate Coordinator, deliberated on NEP/NCF-FS/NIPUN Bharat/FLN, and Jaadui Pitara, succeeded by sessions on Organizing Pre-Primary Classrooms by Ms. Geeta Bharti, Ms Jaswinder Kour on Numeracy, Ms Shashi Bala on Literacy and Ms Kamini Verma on Vidya Pravesh.The sessions were aimed at equipping participants with practical strategies for classroom implementation. A committee comprising Ms Shazia, Dr Bhuvi, Ms Rukhsana, Ms Kamini and Ms Neeraj Jamwal, substantially contributed to the success of the event.Mr. Yugal Kishore and Mr. Anil Sharma handled all the technical aspects with finesse.
The orientation programme seeks to empower DNOs and ZNOs with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to serve as effective monitors and mentors in their respective districts and zones. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sanjeevani, Head, ECCE.
