PM Modi's policies reshaping India into a 'Mother-led Democracy': Purnima Sharma
9/18/2025 9:43:48 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 18: BJP Spokesperson for Jammu & Kashmir and Former Deputy Mayor of Jammu, Advocate Purnima Sharma, has hailed the nationwide launch of the "Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan" as a landmark step in the journey toward women's health, dignity, and empowerment in India.
"Under the visionary and compassionate leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, India is undergoing a silent but powerful revolution in women's empowerment. The launch of this Abhiyaan is not just a health campaign - it is a national movement that touches the soul of a Viksit Bharat," said Advocate Purnima Sharma.
Purnima credited Prime Minister Modi's unwavering commitment to Nari Shakti as the driving force behind many transformative initiatives in the country.
"From Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao to Ujjwala Yojana, and now to the Swasth Nari Abhiyaan, Modi ji has proven time and again that empowering women is not a political slogan, but a national mission. He leads with both vision and heart - a rare combination that India is fortunate to have at this pivotal moment in its history," she added.
Purnima emphasized that PM Modi's leadership is not just administrative but deeply inspirational, bringing about a cultural shift in how India views the role of women in society and governance.
In a strong statement, Advocate Sharma also slammed opposition parties for dismissing such initiatives as mere "election stunts" or "vote-bank tactics." "Let us remind the critics that historic reforms like Triple Talaq, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, and Ujjwala Yojana were launched when there were no elections. PM Modi's commitment to the welfare of women and the poor has never been guided by the electoral calendar - it has always been guided by nation first," she said.
"Unfortunately, some opposition parties continue to belittle every transformative move as vote-bank politics. This reflects not only their political bankruptcy but also their disconnect from ground realities and the needs of our women."
Purnima Sharma reaffirmed that Jammu & Kashmir is fully aligned with the Prime Minister's vision and is implementing the Abhiyaan with full force and active community engagement.
"Our administration, health teams, and BJP Karyakartas will leave no stone unturned to carry this mission to every village and mohalla. I call on every stakeholder - from Panchayat leaders to youth volunteers - to join hands in making this campaign a roaring success."
Advocate Sharma further said that "Narendra Modi ji has given this country not just schemes, but a sense of direction - a moral compass. He has restored dignity to the poor, voice to the voiceless, and respect to our mothers and daughters. He is not only a statesman but the Pradhan Sevak in the truest sense - leading from the front with integrity, purpose, and love for the nation."
"India is becoming a true Mother-led Democracy under his leadership, where the strength of the nation is measured by the strength of its women."
The Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivaar Abhiyaan, launched across every state and Union Territory, aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to women, ensuring that no woman - regardless of location or economic status - is left behind. Key features of the Abhiyaan include; Free health screenings for anemia, cancer, diabetes, and other key conditions; Focus on pregnant women, adolescent girls, and elderly women; Distribution of free sanitary napkins and menstrual hygiene awareness; Nutritional counseling and supplements under Poshan Abhiyaan; Deployment of Mobile Medical Vans, organization of health camps, and grassroots outreach through ASHA and Anganwadi workers; Strong linkages with flagship schemes like Ayushman Bharat, PM Matru Vandana Yojana, and Mission Shakti.
