Students cabinet installed at MVIS

Jammu, Sept 19: It was a day of rejoice in the student community of MV International School as their elected representative were assigned leadership roles during the Investiture Ceremony for the 2025-26 academic session, where thirty (30) student leaders were formally inducted into the student cabinet.
The occasion was graced by Chief Guest SSP Samba Virinder Singh Manhas, JKPS. Special Guests included Col. Jaswant Singh Slathia (Retd) (Guidance & Counselling Cell Gurha Slathia); Dr. Roopali Slathia (Physical Director, Government Degree College RS Pura and BCCI Coach for the J&K Women’s Cricket Team) & Arun Jamwal, JKPS (DySP Vijaypur). Chairman Hira Lal Abrol and School Director Gourav Abrol graced the ceremony along with parents of the cabinet members, the school staff and students.
Amid a buzz of zeal and honour in the auditorium, the guests and school management presented badges and sashes to the cabinet members, empowering them to wield the responsibilities attached to their roles. Leaders of Cabinet Working Committee comprises of Danish Attri (12B) r/o Ramgarh and Koshika Slathia (12B) r/o Gurha Slathia as Head Boy and Head Girl respectively.
Both of them in their speeches affirmed their mission and pledged to keep the flag of the school flying high. Prefect members of the cabinet are: Vice Head Boy - Bhuvneshwar Singh (11A) r/o Sunjwan and Vice Head Girl - Shalini Hansa (11A) r/o Samba. School Cultural Ministry Captains are Shivang Digra (12A) r/o Ramgarh & Kinjal Karnani (12D) r/o Sainik Colony and their deputy appointments are - Aditya Choudhary (11B) r/o Bishnah & Jasmeet Kaur (11D) r/o Rakh Chang. School Sports Ministry Captains are Harish Singh (12A) r/o Ramgarh & Divya Thakur (12B) r/o Udh Mandi and their deputy appointments are - Hari Malphotra (11C) r/o Bishnah & Tanshu Sharma (11C) r/o Mahroon.
Home Ministry has Discipline Captains - Pavneet Kour (11A) r/o Khour Salarian, Harshpreet Kour (10C) r/o Pangdour & Aathrv Gupta (5D) r/o Samba. Environment Ministry comprises of Eco Leaders Sukhuman Singh (11A) r/o Koulpur, Nishtha Mahajan (10A) r/o Vijaypur & Aaradhya Shrikul (5C) r/o Najwal. House Captains of the student’s ministry are:
The Maestros House – Naviti Sharma (11C) r/o Gudwal, Raghav Singh Manhas (10C) r/o Smailpur & Akshita Bhagat (5A) r/o Gurha Slathia; The Victors House – Vedant Singh (11B) r/o Samba, Aakriti (10A) r/o Khanpur & Arush Tora (5C) r/o Vijaypur; The Invincibles House – Somani Dubey (11A) r/o Kamala, Ankita Rajgotra (10A) r/o Samba & Sragvi Gupta (5C) r/o Samba; The Supremes House – Harshita (11D) r/o Bari Brahmna, Manyata Sambyal (10A) r/o Samba & Hriday Sonar (5B) r/o Samba. Four teachers have been appointed as House wardens - Sakshi Sethi - The Maestros House; Mirnalini Chowdhary - The Victors House; Monika Rana - The Invincibles House; Megha Mahajan - The Supremes House. Principal of the school, Kundan Lal Dogra administered the Oath to the leaders of student’s cabinet. Chief Guest and Special Guests complimented the school for conducting a remarkable ceremony and teaching the students, values of spirituality, discipline and model behaviour.
They commended the way, the cabinet was installed by a democratic process and praised the school management, staff and students for their exemplary performance. The magnificent spectacle of young leaders on the stage, with their badges and sashes, taking the oath of responsibility and holding their flags was truly an enthralling experience.
