EPFO Jammu conducts sports trials for J&K and Ladakh-reg

JAMMU, Sept 19: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu has initiated a series of comprehensive sports trials for 7 sports events, catering to the regions of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The trials, which commenced on September 19, 2025, and will continue until September 21, 2025, aim to identify and select talented athletes from EPFO to represent EPFO J&K and Ladakh in upcoming zonal tournaments.
On the first day of the trials, over 45 participants enthusiastically showcased their skills in various sports disciplines. The event witnessed significant participation and enthusiasm from the staff, with state coaches from all sporting events meticulously evaluating and selecting candidates based on their performance. Notably, players from the Regional Office Kashmir also participated in the trials, adding to the competitive spirit and camaraderie among the participants.
The day's trials for basketball, volleyball, and handball were successfully held at the Dogra Ground, J&K State Sports Council Jammu. Further, trials will be conducted for Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi as well. The selected teams will go on to represent EPFO J&K and Ladakh in further participation in zonal tournaments, providing a platform for the athletes to showcase their skills at a higher level.
The sports trials are a testament to EPFO Jammu's commitment to promoting sports and fitness among its employees.
