KATRA, Sept 20: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital (SMVDNSH), established by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and operated in partnership with Narayana Health, has achieved a remarkable feat at the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) National Healthcare Awards 2025 by winning five prestigious awards.
The hospital was recognised as the Best Hospital of the Year (North Zone) in the category of facilities with over 300 beds. It also received awards for Best Healthcare Delivery (North Zone), Best Digital and Technology Transformation Hospital, and Best Patient Safety and Quality Control Hospital. Adding to these honours, Dr. M.M. Mathavan, Facility Director of SMVDNSH, was named CEO of the Year (North Zone - 2025).
These awards highlight the hospital's commitment to world-class medical care, patient safety, and technology-driven healthcare delivery, in line with the Shrine Board's vision of making advanced medical services accessible to the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), expressed his pride in the achievement, stating:
"This is a proud moment for the Shrine Board and for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. When the Board established this hospital, the vision was to create an institution of excellence that would provide affordable, state-of-the-art healthcare within the region. These awards reaffirm that we are on the right path, combining infrastructure, innovation, and compassionate service to meet the needs of our patients."
Dr. M.M. Mathavan, Facility Director of SMVDNSH, who was honoured as CEO of the Year (North Zone - 2025), added:
"This recognition belongs to our entire team, whose dedication has made it possible to achieve such milestones. At SMVDNSH, we have continuously focused on enhancing patient safety, introducing digital and technology-driven innovations, and ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care with dignity and compassion. I accept this award with humility and dedicate it to the trust of our patients and the guiding vision of the Shrine Board."
These accolades further establish Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialty Hospital as a leading healthcare destination in North India, delivering high-quality, technology-enabled, and patient-centric care to thousands of families each year.
As the hospital continues to strengthen its role in the Union Territory's healthcare landscape, this recognition at the national level marks another milestone in its journey towards excellence, innovation, and service.
