JKTJAC organises one day convention, oath ceremony of newly elected UT Body

Jammu, Oct 13: Jammu Kashmir Teachers'Joint Action Committee today organised one day convention regarding the issues of the teachers at Udhampur where in Employees Joint Consultative Committee President Ajaz Ahmed Khan was the Chief Guest.
On the occasion Oath Ceremony was held of the newly elected UT President JKTJAC Vinod Sharma, UT Chairman Saleem Sagar and UT General Secretary Najam Jafri.
The Oath was administered by JKTJAC Election Commission Members Lekh Raj Parihar , Malik Ashraf, Sajad Malik, Naresh Sharma, Azmat Iqbal and Mushtaq Ahmed Khan.
The occasion was attended by hundreds of teachers of District Udhampur besides JKTJAC leadership from all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
After taking Oath UT President Vinod Sharma while speaking assured that he will come up to the expectations of the teaching fraternity who have given him another chance to serve.
He assured to take up the genuine issues of the teaching fraternity with the government for their resolution.
He said that issue of allocation of substantive posts, DPC of all cadres, transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme, Sanction of posts of masters in Middle schools upgraded under SSA are under active consideration of JKTJAC.
Saleem Sagar while speaking appealed the Govt to implement old Pension Scheme in favour of employees appointed on or after 01.01.2010. He also demanded release of pending Mid Day Meals dues which the teachers have managed from their own pockets.
Speaking on the occasion Najam Jafri raised the issue of Regularisation of left out ReTs and conversion of RRETs to Teachers Grade II/III.
Ajaz Ahmed Khan President EJCC while speaking on the occasion demanded release of GP Fund bills of the employees of the UT. He also demanded Regularisation of adhoc and daily rated workers.
