Volleyball tournament under CAP organized

JAMMU, Oct 27: A volleyball tournament under Civic Action Programme-2025-26 being organized by JKAP-8th Bn w.e.f 24.10.2025.
On 27.10.2025, the match was played between Bagga Zina Club R.S. Pura Vs JK Police Public School Miran Sahib Jammu.
The Chief organizer of the tournament (Commandant JKAP-8th Bn) while addressing the participants highlighted the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police in developing the cardio bonding and bridging the gap between Police and Public. He emphasized the role of sports in character building and for keeping the youth away from social evils.
Sh. Suram Singh, JKPS (SSP) Commandant JKAP-8th Bn encouraged the participants to actively participate in such constructive activities and assured that the Police Department will continue to organize similar events in future too, under Civic Action Programme.
Todays' match was also witnessed by a huge gathering including the staff members of the teams as well as other respectable personalities and they appreciated the efforts of JKAP 8th Battalion for providing a platform to engage youth through sports. The programme was conducted in a cordial and disciplined manner, reflecting the spirit of unity and cooperation between police and public. At the end the players were awarded individual certificates by Sh. Bhupinder Singh-DySP JKAP-8th Bn. The matches of the tournament will go ahead on regular basis and will culminate in the 1st week of November-2025. The said tournament is being held both for boys as well as for the girls. The other GOs' of the Battalion also played their roles to make the said tournament successful.
