GDC Bani kick starts 7 days youth leadership, training programme with The Art of Living

bani, Oct 28: Government Degree College (GDC) Bani kick-starts the second phase of 7 Days Youth Leadership and Training Programme in collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation.
This YLTP Camp was Inaugurated by the Chief Guest the worthy Principal GDC Bani Prof.(Dr.) Manohar and Sh. Pradhyun attri, (JKAS) Tehsildar Bani in the presence of the faculty members and the students of the college.
This 7 Days Youth Leadership Training Programme (YLTP) is aimed at empowering students with leadership skills, emotional resilience, and holistic well-being. The programme will continue till 3rd November 2025. This is for the second time that GDC Bani has organised the YLTP camp in collaboration with the Art of Living Foundation, following the overwhelming success and positive feedback received from participants during the first camp held in July 2025.
The inaugural session was graced by Sh. Predhyum Atri, Tehsildar Bani, who also actively participated in the first day’s activities.
He appreciated the efforts of the college in bringing such meaningful and value-based training programmes to the students of this hilly region, emphasising that such initiatives play a vital role in nurturing responsible and confident youth leaders.
The training is being conducted under the guidance of Sh. Yoginder Singh Yogi, an experienced faculty member from the Art of Living Foundation, who will facilitate various interactive sessions, leadership exercises, and perform the Sudarshan Kriya—a powerful breathing technique known for enhancing focus and emotional stability.
In his welcome address, Dr. Manohar Lal, Principal of GDC Bani, extended heartfelt gratitude to the Art of Living Foundation and the distinguished guests.
He highlighted the college’s consistent efforts toward holistic education, leadership development, and community engagement.
The Worthy Principal has encouraged the students to make full use of this transformative opportunity for their personal and professional growth.
The entire YLTP will be coordinated by the Physical Director of the College Dr J S Soodan along with the organizing team members of college faculty Including Dr. Resham Singh, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Prof. Akash Zutshi, Prof. Vishab Thappa, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr. Nisha Devi, Mr. Racchpal Sharma, Mr. Himanshu Sharma Dr. Sartaj Aziz, Dr. Firdoos Ahmed, Dr. Mulkh Raj, Dr. Farooq Ahmed War, and Mr. Mudsir Ahmed. The week-long programme will feature sessions on leadership development, stress management, community building, and self-awareness through experiential learning.
Participants will also engage in group activities designed to foster teamwork, social responsibility, and inner balance.
