Balbir supports ‘Swadeshi’ campaign by putting up ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi’ sticker at his house
10/29/2025 6:46:45 PM

early times report

Jammu, Oct 29: Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson and former Vice Chairman Balbir Ram Rattan expressed his support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for ‘Swadeshi’ (local self-reliance) by fixing a sticker on the entrance of his house that reads ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi, Ghar Ghar Swadeshi’ (Every Home Swadeshi, Every Household Swadeshi).
Regarding this, Balbir said that this is not merely a symbolic act but a firm commitment towards building a self-reliant India.
He stated that Swadeshi is not just a word, but a symbol of India’s spirit and self-reliance. To realize the vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (Self-Reliant India) given by Prime Minister Modi, every citizen should come forward and make the use of indigenous products a part of their daily life. When we prioritize products made in our own country, it will not only strengthen our artisans, farmers, and industries but also boost Indian economy.
Balbir Ram Rattan mentioned that the Bharatiya Janata Party is running this campaign across the country as a mass movement to encourage everyone to adopt Swadeshi. In line with this, BJP workers in Jammu and Kashmir have also started promoting the campaign on a large scale, beginning from their own houses.
He emphasized that this is not merely a political campaign but a cultural renaissance inspired by patriotism.
Balbir highlighted that the land of Jammu and Kashmir is rich in indigenous products such as handicrafts, woollen fabrics, carpets, papier-mâché items, saffron, fruits, and local agricultural produce and all of them have immense potential in both national and international markets.
He urged the youth to contribute by using startups, innovation, and self-employment to take these local products to new heights.
He further said that if all of us take a pledge to embrace Swadeshi and make it a way of life, then nothing can stop India from becoming a self-reliant, economically strong, and globally leading nation.
This, he added, is not just an economic movement but a public awareness campaign infused with patriotism.
Finally, Balbir Ram Rattan appealed to the public to show their support by placing ‘Har Ghar Swadeshi’ stickers on their homes, shops, and institutions, adopt local products, and become active participants in the nation-building process.
