R S Pura police arrests two absconders wanted in UAPA case from Baramulla

Jammu, Nov 2: In a significant breakthrough, Police Station R.S Pura achieved success in arresting two absconders who had been evading arrest for the past five years in a UAPA case registered under FIR No. 63/2020 U/S 120-B/121/121-A IPC, 13/17/39 ULA (P/S R.S Pura).
The arrested absconders have been identified as 1)Owais Farooq S/O Farooq Ahmed Waza and 2) Ahsan Fayaz Leilu S/O Fayaz Ahmed Leilu, both residents of Old Town, Baramulla, Kashmir. Due to their prolonged evasion, the Hon’ble 3rd Additional Sessions Court, Jammu had earlier issued warrants under Section 299 CrPC against them.
Acting on reliable intelligence and sustained surveillance, a special police team from Police Station R.S Pura launched a series of raids in Baramulla. After meticulous planning and coordination, both absconders were apprehended during the third operation.
The arrests were made under the supervision of SP headquarters Jammu & SDPO R S Pura by team of Jammu Police led by Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar, SHO R.S Pura.
Following their arrest, the accused were produced before the Hon’ble 3rd Additional Sessions Court Jammu, which ordered their judicial custody at District Jail Amphalla, Jammu.
This successful operation highlights Jammu Police’s relentless efforts and commitment to bringing absconders and law offenders to justice. The Jammu Police continues to strengthen its intelligence network and operational efficiency to maintain peace, security, and the rule of law in the region.
