GDC Thannamandi releases college magazine “The Flight”

Thannamandi, Nov 3: Government Degree College Thannamandi organized a graceful and vibrant ceremony to mark the release of its Annual College Magazine titled “The Flight.”
The event was held in the college auditorium with Mr. Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, Hon’ble MLA Thannamandi, as the Chief Guest. The programme commenced with a welcome and introductory address by the Principal, Dr. Farooq Ahmed, who warmly greeted the Chief Guest, faculty members, students, and other dignitaries present on the occasion. In his address, he emphasized the importance of college magazines as a reflection of students’ creativity, literary flair, and intellectual growth.
He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all contributors and the editorial team for their hard work and dedication in bringing out this year’s edition,
“The Flight.”The Chief Guest, Mr. Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, officially released the magazine and in his inspiring address, spoke on the importance of reading, intellectual curiosity, and educational excellence. He lauded the college’s continued efforts in promoting academic and cultural enrichment in the region and congratulated the entire team for the successful release of the magazine.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Nazar Ul Islam , Prof. Altaf Hussain (ANO), Prof. Supriya Gupta (NSS Officer), and Prof. Rumy Dar, whose concerted efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. The proceedings were conducted by Dr. Nazar Ul Islam, while Prof. Rizwana Kouser presented the formal vote of thanks.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence and participation of all faculty members of the college, including Dr. Nazakat Hussain, Dr. Mohd Ashaq, Dr. Gohar Iqbal, Dr. Gulshan Rashid, Dr. Shiraz Ahmed, Dr. Nazar Ul Islam, Prof. Supriya Gupta, Prof. Altaf Ahmed, Prof. Junaid Ahmed, Mr. Anuj Bali, Dr. Ather Aziz Raina, Prof. Rumy Dar, Prof. Rizwana Kouser, Prof. Yasmine Kouser, Dr. Mohd Ashrif, Dr. Shazia Paswal, Dr. Meenakshi Sharma, and Dr. Attiq Ul Rehman, who joined in appreciating the literary accomplishments and editorial excellence of the student contributors.
The NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers of the college also made a special contribution by actively assisting in the organization, management, and hospitality during the event, ensuring its success through their dedication and teamwork.
