Former NSG Commando Lucky Bisht shared his story of grit as an Indian Spy at LPU
11/26/2025 10:27:05 PM
JALANDHAR, Nov 26: In a compelling confluence of valour and vision, Lovely Professional University (LPU) hosted an inspiring youth talk by real-life hero Lucky Bisht, Former Sniper, Spy, NSG Commando and Author, whose powerful narrative left students deeply moved and reflective. Bisht shared his extraordinary life experiences as a sniper and spy that highlighted the true essence of courage, discipline and unwavering commitment to the nation. The presence of Dr. Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LPU, added gravitas to the session, which evolved into a masterclass on resilience and leadership as Mr. Bisht recounted his experiences in high-risk operations and covert missions. Engaging candidly with student queries, he emphasised that while struggles are inevitable, emotional balance is rooted in self-belief and consistent hard work. "No one lives without problems," he remarked, "but belief in oneself prevents emotional instability and gives the strength to overcome even the harshest situations." Addressing aspirations related to defence services and beyond, Bisht urged students to develop a clear vision, asserting that vision is the guiding force behind every successful journey. He also underscored the critical link between physical fitness and mental strength, highlighting that a healthy body fuels a focused and resilient mind. His own optimism, he shared, stems from constantly seeking solutions and holding onto hope even in the face of extreme adversity. Striking a powerful social chord, Bisht strongly condemned the growing menace of drug abuse, warning students that drug networks are not merely destroying individual lives but are directly funding organised crime and terrorism. He urged the youth to critically question and completely reject substance use, emphasising that every contribution to this illegal ecosystem indirectly supports forces that destabilise the nation and threaten innocent lives. Bisht also undertook campus tour, during which he expressed genuine admiration for LPU's expansive infrastructure and world-class facilities. He lauded the university's progressive ecosystem, noting the seamless integration of excellence across research, innovation and sports arenas. Visibly impressed by the scale and quality of development, he acknowledged how such an environment plays a crucial role in shaping disciplined, future-ready leaders. The event reaffirmed LPU's commitment to exposing students to real-life heroes and transformative personalities, offering them invaluable learning beyond classrooms. Through such impactful engagements, the university continues to nurture not only academic brilliance but also strong character, leadership values and a deep sense of national pride among its students.
