One-day Yuva Vani 2.0 workshop held at Samba under JKCIP

SAMBA, Dec 29: The Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department, Samba, today organised a One-Day District-Level Sensitisation and Educational Workshop under the Project and Knowledge Management Component of AWPB 2025-26 (Yuva Vani 2.0 - Youth Club Campaign) under JKCIP at the Conference Hall, DC Office Complex, Samba. The workshop was inaugurated by Mission Director HADP & JKCIP, Sandeep Kumar (IFS), who also presided as Chief Guest and inspected over 20 stalls set up by Agriculture and Allied Departments, SHGs and private stakeholders. More than 400 participants from JKCIP blocks of Purmandal, Nud, Sumb and Ghagwal attended the programme.
Addressing youth club members, FPOs, SHGs, agri-entrepreneurs and women entrepreneurs, Sandeep Kumar highlighted the role of youth in nation-building and encouraged them to act as agents of change. He appreciated the Department of Agriculture, Samba for achieving about 95 per cent physical and financial progress under JKCIP for 2025-26. District Development Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan (IAS), Guest of Honour, emphasised crop diversification, adoption of high-value and market-oriented agriculture and promotion of women-led FPOs, particularly in bamboo-based enterprises. Chief Agriculture Officer Samba, Dr. Rakesh Khajuria, presented the welcome address and briefed participants about the achievements and mandate of JKCIP. The programme was also attended by ADDC Samba, Champa Devi, and HoDs of various departments.
