Taekwondo Association of District Shopian to host District ShopianTaekwondo Championships

Shopian, Jan 6: The Taekwondo Association of District Shopian is all set to organise the District Shopian Taekwondo Championships 2025-26 under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association (Regd.) and the J&K Sports Council.
The championship will be held at the Batapora Stadium, Shopian from 7th to 8th January 2026, under the banner of the “My Youth My Pride” initiative.
The event will feature exciting competitions across Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior categories, providing a dynamic platform for the young athletes of District Shopian to demonstrate their skill, spirit, and sportsmanship.
Important Guidelines for Participation:
JKTA Athlete License is mandatory for all participants. No entries will be accepted without it.
Black Belt Certificates are compulsory for Senior athletes as per the guidelines of the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI).
All athletes must complete the following documents:
Completed Registration Form (signed by parents/guardians)
Aadhaar Card, JKTA License, Date of Birth Certificate (issued by Municipality or the concerned Sarpanch)
The decision to conduct the championship was taken unanimously during a meeting of the office bearers of the Taekwondo Association of District Shopian, chaired by the President TADS.
