Early Times Report

BANDIPORA, Feb 2: Bandipora district on Monday launched Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, a flagship initiative of NITI Aayog, aimed at achieving saturation of key socio-economic indicators across aspirational districts and blocks, including Tulail, the Aspirational Block of Bandipora.
The three-month Abhiyan focuses on accelerating outcomes in priority sectors such as health, nutrition, education, sanitation and animal husbandry, with special emphasis on last-mile service delivery in remote and underserved areas.
As part of the launch, officers and officials of the district administration reaffirmed their collective commitment towards achieving complete saturation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) under the Aspirational Block Programme.
Officials and stakeholders from Tulail block participated in the launch programme virtually, which was live-connected with the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Bandipora. The participants were briefed on the targets, timelines and monitoring framework of Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0.
Highlighting earlier achievements, it was recalled that during Sampoornata Abhiyan Phase-I, Tulail Block secured 2nd rank at the national level under the Aspirational Blocks Programme by achieving saturation in key indicators including maternal and child health services, full immunisation, institutional deliveries, nutrition outcomes, foundational literacy and household tap water connections. In recognition of this performance, Bandipora district received national-level recognition from NITI Aayog.
During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner held a doubt-clearing interactive session with the local public of Tulail. Issues, particularly related to the winter season and service delivery, were raised and the Deputy Commissioner assured timely redressal through the concerned departments.
Under Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0, the district administration will intensify efforts to ensure 100 percent coverage of supplementary nutrition, regular growth monitoring of children, functional Anganwadi infrastructure, availability of girls’ toilets in schools, TB notification, animal vaccination, and other targeted indicators.
Reiterating the district’s commitment to sustained progress, the Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned departments to strengthen inter-departmental coordination, field-level monitoring and active involvement of frontline workers, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes reach every eligible household across Bandipora.
