Jammu, Feb 4: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, on Wednesday said that the NC government is fully committed to accelerating development activities in the Chenab region and addressing long-pending public issues. He made these remarks while interacting with NC Block President Padar, Kishtawar, Janki Nath, who called on him at the party’s Provincial Headquarters, SK Bhawan, Jammu. During the meeting, Janki Nath apprised Gupta of several pressing issues faced by the people of the region, including developmental deficits, ration-related problems, and inadequate surface connectivity. Janki Nath said that since the Omar Abdullah-led government assumed office, the Chenab region has once again been brought onto the development radar. However, he emphasized that sustained and enhanced efforts are required to undo the damage caused by years of misrule and developmental neglect under successive BJP, PDP, and undemocratic governments. Gupta assured him that the concerns raised would be taken up with the appropriate authorities. He reiterated that the National Conference remains steadfast in its resolve to ensure equitable development and improved basic amenities for all regions, especially the far-flung and neglected areas of Jammu and Kashmir. |
