Jammu, Feb 4: The inaugural day of this two-day event at the Seminar Hall marked a significant milestone for academic and industrial discourse in the region, featuring the distinguished presence of Chief Guest Prof. Umesh Rai from the University of Jammu and Guests of Honour Prof. Nandu B. Chaure from Savitribai Phule Pune University and Prof. B. C. Yadav from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow. The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a floral welcome for the dignitaries. The proceedings were led by Prof. Susheel Kumar Sharma from the University of Jammu, Convener and Head of the Department, who emphasized the department’s commitment to promoting growth and sustainability through technology. He described the conference as an ideal platform for scholars and students to engage in meaningful collaboration, sharing that the event features 60 high-quality research papers distributed across seven specialized technical sessions. A pivotal moment of the inaugural session was the official release of the Conference Abstract Book by the dignitaries. Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Prof. Umesh Rai from the University of Jammu emphasized the necessity of education reform through activity-based interdisciplinary learning and the integration of learning across departments such as Mathematics, Physics, and Electronics. In addition to the academic addresses, a formal ceremony was conducted where Chief Guest Prof. Umesh Rai from the University of Jammu, Guest of Honour Prof. Nandu B. Chaure from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and Guest of Honour Prof. B. C. Yadav from
BBAU, Lucknow were honored by the organizing committee—Prof. Rakesh Vaid from the University of Jammu, Prof. Parveen Kumar Lehana from the University of Jammu, Dr. Rockey Gupta from the University of Jammu, Dr. Usha Parihar and Er.Vijay Sharma Media Head .The formal vote of thanks is presented by Dr. Rockey Gupta .Guest of Honour Prof. Nandu B. Chaure from Savitribai Phule Pune University discussed the convergence of hardware with artificial intelligence and edge computing,
highlighting the internal working of solar cells, their applications, and research scope, while additionally Prof. B. C. Yadav from BBAU, Lucknow traced the journey of electronics from vacuum tubes to nanoelectronics, calling for indigenous lab-to-land innovations in the fields of 5G and IoT, and detailing the operational mechanisms and future potential of Triboelectric Nano Generators for Self-Powered Sensors. In sessions chaired by Prof. Parveen Kumar Lehana from the University of Jammu, Dr. Rahul Salunke from IIT Jammu encouraged students to pursue active research and discussed the benefits of ultra-stable sodium-ion capacitors, while Prof. Sumeet Gupta from SMVDU explained the critical role of information and communication technology in disaster mitigation and management. Prof. Naresh Padha from the University of Jammu concluded the day by discussing innovations in thin-film.
