| Wazir Janki Nath Memorial School celebrates annual day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 4: Wazir Janki Nath Memorial Higher Secondary School and Fairyland Nursery & KG School celebrated their Annual Day today with great enthusiasm and splendour. The occasion was graced by Dr. Yasir Hamid Sirwal, Deputy Director Academics, J&K Board of School Education, who presided over the function as the Chief Guest. The students presented a vibrant cultural programme highlighting several pressing social issues such as the menace of excessive social media usage, environmental concerns, and social responsibility through thought-provoking skits, melodious songs, and energetic dance performances. The programme was meaningful, informative, and deeply engaging. Through these performances, messages of unity in diversity and love for the nation were beautifully conveyed. While addressing the gathering, Dr. Sirwal sensitively spoke to parents and students about the National Education Policy and the growing concern of drug abuse among youth, urging collective responsibility in shaping a healthy and progressive society. On the occasion, the Principal and Director of the School, Ms. Himalini Singh Wazir, proudly announced the outstanding achievements of the students. She shared that Gursimar Kour secured an impressive 98% marks in the Class 10 Board Examination in the previous academic session. She also highlighted that more than 200 students participated in national and district-level sports competitions and brought laurels to the institution by winning numerous medals. The celebration concluded on a high note, leaving the audience inspired and appreciative of the students' talent and the school's commitment to holistic education. |
