MGNREGA Engineers Association applauds ACD for Proactive Engagement on Key Grievances

RAMBAN, Feb 5: The MGNREGA Engineers Association, District Ramban expressed its sincere appreciation today for Sheraz Ahmed Chauhan(JKAS),ACD Ramban. The commendation follows a highly productive meeting where the ACD Ramban provided a patient and empathetic hearing to the long-standing concerns of the engineering staff.
During the delegation's visit, the Association submitted the memorandum and highlighted several critical issues affecting the morale and welfare of engineers working under the MGNREGA scheme. ACD Ramban took a constructive stance, offering firm assurances that these grievances would be addressed with high priority.
Key Issues Discussed:
Job Security: The urgent need for a concrete policy to ensure the professional stability and future of MGNREGA technical staff.
Salary Enhancement: A revision of the current pay structure to reflect the increasing cost of living and the high level of technical expertise required for rural development projects.
Workload Integration: Issuing formal orders to allow MGNREGA engineers to oversee and execute works under other government schemes (such as UT Capex, District Capex, etc.).
"We are heartened by Sheraz Ahmed Chauhan's empathetic and professional approach," said MGNREGA Engineers District Ramban."The assurance that our core issues-specifically regarding job security and salary hikes-will be redressed early is a significant morale booster for the entire cadre.
The Association noted that ACD Ramban acknowledged the pivotal role played by MGNREGA engineers in building rural infrastructure and expressed optimism that the administration is moving toward a more supportive environment for its technical workforce.
