Drug peddler arrested, huge quantity of banned tablets along with cash Rs 11.60 lakh recovered

JAMMU, Feb 6: Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substances abuse,Jammu Police achieved one more success by recovering huge quantity of banned tablets along with cash from one drug peddler from Kotli Gala Bana, Near Brick Kiln under the jurisdiction of P/S R.S Pura.
A Police team of Police Station R.S. Pura led by PSI Naresh Kumar No.196740/EXJ assisted by other officers/officials of this P/S under the supervision of SHO P/S R.S Pura Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar & under the overall supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu & SDPO R.S Pura, yesterday on 05.02.2026 while on routine patrolling under the jurisdiction of Police Station established a naka at Kotli Gala Bana,near Brick-Kiln and stopped one Mahindra KUV bearing registration No. JK02BM-6680 for checking purpose. During Checking huge quantity of banned capsules along with cash has been recovered from co-driver front seat contained in orange Colour polythene. During questioning the driver of the car disclosed his identity as namely Shiva Gupta S/o Naresh Kumar Gupta R/o W No.01 R.S Pura Tehsil R.S Pura District Jammu
In this regard, a case FIR No.32/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station R.S Pura & accordingly accused arrested while as Contraband,Cash and Vehicle has been seized.
Further investigation is going on to unearth the deeper nexus and work out backward and forward linkages in the case.
Jammu Police reiterates its firm resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate by sharing information related to drug trafficking and abuse.
