Valedictory function of specialized training programmes held SKPA

Udhampur, Feb 7: The programmes comprised a five-day training course on “Investigation of Cyber Crime”, sponsored by the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), New Delhi, a five-day course for Investigators on “Women Safety”, sponsored by the Bureau of Police Research & Development (BPR&D), New Delhi, and a two-day training programme on “Investigation of Terror Financing Cases.” A total of 67 officers/officials from various units of J&K Police, including one DySP from Nagaland Police, one Inspr from Telangana Police, participated in the training programme.
A valedictory function was organized in which Shri Rakesh Sambyal, CPO, Chief Law Instructor, SKPA Udhampur, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the Academy’s initiative in organizing need-based and contemporary training programmes. He emphasized the importance of continuous capacity building in the areas of Cybercrime Investigation, Women Safety and Investigation of Terror Financing Cases particularly in view of the evolving crime landscape and emerging societal challenges. Shri Sunil Sawhney, DySP was also present on the occasion.
The training programmes featured eminent resource persons from reputed academic institutions and professional fields, who shared valuable insights, practical experience and best practices with the participants. The interactive sessions were highly appreciated and significantly contributed to enhancing the professional competence and investigative skills of the trainees.
At the conclusion of the function, course certificates were distributed to all participants. The valedictory ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the support and cooperation extended by the sponsoring agencies, resource persons and participants in making the programmes a success.
The course on “Women Safety” was coordinated by Ms. Chander Lekha, Sr. PO, assisted by W/HC Melisha Devi. The course on “Investigation of Cyber Crime” was coordinated by Inspector Vivek Kalsotra, assisted by HC Randip Singh. The course on “Investigation of Terror Financing Cases” was coordinated by Inspector Vishal Manhas, assisted by Sgct. Vijay Kumar, Member Faculty.
